Paul D. Davis is the Founder of Affordable Housing Advisors of Marcus & Millichap.
Paul began his real estate career with a boutique brokerage company focused on the sale of market-rate apartments. Upon the enactment of the Tax Reform Act of 1986 and Section 42 of the Internal Revenue Code, Paul identified an opportunity within the affordable housing sector and shifted his focus to the brokerage of Project-Based Section 8 properties. Paul founded AHA in 1987 and pioneered the brokerage of affordable housing.
In 1998, Paul moved AHA to Marcus & Millichap. Soon after, Paul obtained the company’s largest multi-family exclusive listing, 89 HUD-financed Project-Based Section 8 complexes in 27 states, and began building his AHA team. Presently, AHA has achieved sales of more than 200,000 government subsidized housing units throughout the United States, valued in excess of $10 billion.
Paul has repeatedly been recognized as a Top 10 Agent among Marcus & Millichap’s agents nationwide. He is a regular speaker at industry events and his insight is sought by industry and government leaders.
Paul graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree and earned an MBA and law degree from Wayne State University. He is a member of the Michigan Bar, the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC), the Housing Advisory Group (HAG), National Leased Housing Association (NLHA), the Institute for Responsible Housing Preservation (IRHP), the National Council of State Housing Agencies (NCSHA) and the National Housing and Rehabilitation Association (NH&RA).
Paul and his wife have a son and daughter. Their daughter, Meryl Davis, is the 2014 Olympic gold medalist for ice dancing and the winner of the 2014 Dancing with the Stars competition.

Andrew S. (Andy) Daitch is the Executive Managing Director of Affordable Housing Advisors of Marcus & Millichap. Andy oversees a team of dedicated professionals providing nationwide expertise in the sale of government-subsidized multi-family properties.
Andy began his career with AHA in 1999 under the mentorship of its Founder Paul Davis. As AHA grew as a pioneer and industry leader in the brokerage of government-subsidized multi-family properties, Andy was responsible for growing the company’s platform to further enhance their services to clients on a national level. AHA has exclusively listed and sold over 200,000 government-subsidized housing units throughout the United States, valued at more than $10 billion.

Steven A. (Steve) Miscavish is the Chief Financial Officer of Affordable Housing Advisors of Marcus & Millichap.
Steve began his tenure with AHA in 2004 and has been instrumental in developing the organization and managing the company’s financial team. AHA now reviews and underwrites more than 1,000 properties per year.
As CFO, Steve is also involved in the strategic growth of AHA and ensuring that the company remains the industry leader in the brokerage of government subsidized housing. Presently, AHA has achieved sales of more than 200,000 government subsidized housing units throughout the United States, valued in excess of $10 billion.
Steve is a frequent speaker at affordable housing events and conferences and sits on the board at the National Leased Housing Association (NLHA). He is also a member of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC) and a supporter of the Institute for Responsible Housing Preservation (IRHP) and National Housing and Rehabilitation Association (NH&RA). In 2019, Midwest Real Estate News Magazine honored Steve by inducting him in their Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame.
Steve earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in finance from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. He holds a Real Estate Broker’s license in the state of Michigan.

Seth I. Barnett is a Senior National Director at Affordable Housing Advisors of Marcus & Millichap. Seth oversees sales in the Midwest, West Coast, Mountain, Sunbelt and Southwest regions and also works with clients throughout the United States.
Seth joined AHA in 2006 and has been an integral part of the firm’s success, which includes a track record of over 200,000 units of government-subsidized multi-family properties with an aggregate value of over $10 billion. Seth has represented clients ranging from original developers of individual Section 8 properties to institutional clients maintaining large portfolios.
Seth is a member of the National Multi-Housing Council (NMHC) and a supporter of the Institute for Responsible Housing Preservation (IRHP), the National Leased Housing Association (NLHA) and the National Housing and Rehabilitation Association (NH&RA). In 2018, Midwest Real Estate News Magazine honored Seth by inducting him in their Commercial Real Estate Hall of Fame. Seth was recognized as a Top 40 Agent among Marcus & Millichap’s Investment Sales Professionals in 2019. Additionally, Seth received Affordable Housing Finance’s 2020 Young Leader Award.

Matthew I. (Matt) Kurzmann is a Senior National Director at Affordable Housing Advisors of Marcus & Millichap and oversees transactions in New England, Northeast, Mid-Atlantic and South-Atlantic regions, while representing clients throughout the United States.
Matt began his career with AHA in 2011 and was instrumental in the creation of AHA’s platform for nonprofit clients. Gerson H. Askenazy is a National Director Nonprofit at Affordable Housing Advisors of Marcus & Millichap, where he oversees the company’s nonprofit initiative.
Gerson advises a wide range of nonprofit owners including churches, synagogues, union-based organizations, state agencies, housing authorities, fraternal organizations and several others.
His real estate career began in 1995, as he represented companies such as General Motors, Hertz Corporation, Diebold and Standard Federal Bank working to achieve their real estate goals throughout the Midwest. Gerson originally joined Marcus & Millichap in 1998 as a multi-family broker for five years before pursuing acquisitions as a principal having acquired more than $30 million of single family homes throughout Michigan, while managing more than 1,000 units of multi-family housing. Gerson rejoined Marcus & Millichap and became a member of AHA in 2019.
Gerson is a founding member of The Young Friends of Woodward, a nonprofit focused on helping support Detroit youth. He has also sat on various boards, including the Downtown Detroit Isaac Agree Synagogue, the Woodward Avenue Shul and the Birmingham-Bloomfield Chai Center. He is a strong supporter of local VFW’s in Oakland County, Michigan and other philanthropic organizations throughout the region.

Tyler J. Martin is a National Director at Affordable Housing Advisors of Marcus & Millichap where he oversees transactions in the West and Southwest regions, while representing clients throughout the United States.
Tyler has been a multifamily investment broker since 2007. He joined Marcus & Millichap in January, 2017 after working at two other national brokerage firms in Los Angeles as a member of a team solely concentrated on institutional apartment transactions and Low Income Housing Tax Credit properties. Tyler joined the AHA team in 2019.
Tyler has been involved in transactions totaling over 5,000 units, working on behalf of notable institutions such as BlackRock, AIMCO, BRE Properties, Bank of America, and JP Morgan Chase. He has built strong relationships within the multifamily industry and continues to leverage his experience.
He received his Bachelor of Arts from University of the Pacific and lives in Newport Beach, California.

Alyssa joined the AHA team in 2019, after a successful career in state government. She worked as a Legislative Assistant and Member Services Advisor at the Michigan House of Representatives, as well as a Committee Clerk at the Michigan Senate.
